Shane Culberhouse Bio

Shane’s career has spanned over 20 years.  He has always maintained a deep love of live music, touring and entertaining.  Shane summed it up with this statement: “I am very honored to be invited to join the success and long time trend-setting Industry leaders as my brother Todd Culberhouse and AL D. Eakes and Vision Records & Entertainment.  Both of these men have led this industry to new heights at every level and are still setting the standard for excellence and achievement.”

Shane started out in 1975 working in the west Ft. Worth night spots.  Live entertainment and the Texas outlaw music was new on the scene and just beginning to gain the attention of music enthusiasts.  Shane recognized this opportunity and by making regular weekend trips to Luckenbach, Texas found himself in the position to meet and book such talents as Gary P. Nunn, Ray Wiley Hubbard and Jerry Jeff Walker for intermittent appearances in the Ft. Worth night spots.

In 1977 Shane worked at the Speak Easy on Camp Bowie with country night on Thursday nights which featured the legendary Jerry Max Lane and Cowtown with Bobby Wayne w/The Strangers of Merle Haggard fame.  Many well-known entertainers such as Tanya Tucker were regulars.

Beginning in 1979 Shane’s career took him to the Gentleman's entertainment industry with M.J.R. Corp. in Dallas with many locations on Greenville Avenue.  These clubs soon became the go-to spots for many of the rich and famous entertainers and sports stars.  Shane rose to the position of Head Disc Jockey and was responsible for training the clubs’ disc jockeys as well as purchasing all the music and sound systems and maintaining these systems.

The V.I.P. Treatment in these clubs soon became highly sought after with many of the touring bands of the 1980’s.  Regular visits were made after the shows from many well-known talents such as Paul Williams, Ronnie James Dio, Ted Nugent, Jimmie Lynn Vaughn, Kim Wilson, Eddie Van Halen as well as many Dallas Cowboy players.  This phenomenon gave Billy Idol the idea for the hit song “Rebel Yell” as his drummer married one of the clubs finest entertainers.

Shane has been the on stage announcer and has introduced many country acts including Hank Williams Jr., Marshall Tucker Band, Dottie West, Loretta Lynn, Steve Fromholz, David Frizzell and Shelly West, Razzy Bailey, John Conley, Johnnie Paycheck, Rusty Weir and many others.
